Sunday Stamps #297

Happy Sunday!  The next challenge at Sunday Stamps begins today.  This challenge is a color challenge and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to use these colors together.  I used the skating snowmen and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I used a snowflake embossing folder and added some patterned paper and velvet ribbon that matched the color scheme perfectly. I live far away from most of my family so I always need cards with a "miss you" theme and this sentiment was perfect for a winter birthday.

I hope you'll join us at Sunday Stamps for this color challenge!  Details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog at Sunday Stamps.

Sunday Stamps Challenge #294

It's Sunday and once again we're starting a new challenge at Sunday Stamps.  This is a fun sketch challenge with a large banner on the front.  I don't have a die that would work for this banner but it's easy to create the same effect with a sharp pair of scissors.

I decided to step away from fall themed cards (and gnomes!) for the week and use a sentiment stamp  and patterned paper from an older Pink and Main card kit.  I think it was in 2021 but I can't remember for sure.   Whenever I do a sketch challenge, I like to make at least two cards, especially if it doesn't involve a lot of coloring. I stamped a few orange flowers and a simple thank you sentiment on the inside.  Envelopes also got a cute little orange flower and they are ready to go!

Sunday Stamps 298

Time for another challenge over at Sunday Stamps!  This time around is a sketch challenge, which are always my favorite.  I decided to put a gold embossed  floral image over patterned paper. I added some gold ribbon and sequins and an embossed flower on the envelope. I have a hard time photographing embossed images, I can never get the right angle for the shine and texture.  This is definitely one of those cards that look better in person!

I hope you'll join us at Sunday Stamps for this challenge!  All the details and design team inspiration can be found on the Sunday Stamps blog.

Sunday Stamps #296

The new challenge at Sunday Stamps is a sketch challenge.  I had a new stamp/die set called "S'more Fun" from Pink and Main on my desk that I wanted to use and I think it was a great fit for this sketch.  These little marshmallows are really cute and perfect for the changing weather.  Where I live, it is still fall but colder temperatures are quickly approaching. I should probably haul the box of scarves, gloves, boots, etc. up from the basement before the first snow hits.

Sunday Stamps #286

Happy Sunday! This is an especially exciting post for me because it is the first card that I'm posting as part of the Sunday Stamps Design Team!  I'm really grateful and honored to join the team and I can't wait to share my creations.

This week's challenge is Sketch #286.  For this sketch, I chose to use the owl pudgie from The Stamps of Life.  I colored it with alcohol markers and used two different patterned papers from The Stamps of Life for the background and stripes.  The sentiment on the inside says "Owl Always Love You".  Most of the cards I've made lately are geared towards spring or summer but this one gives me fall vibes.

I hope you'll stop by the blog at Sunday Stamps for more information about this week's challenge and to see the inspiration from the very creative design team!  Happy Crafting 😀

Sunday Stamps # 288

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Challenge # 288 at Sunday Stamps is a sketch.  Sketch challenges are my favorite and I really liked this one.  I used a few die cut flowers from the Bold Blooms die set from Spellbinders. The patterned paper in an older pad from Echo Park Paper Co. that I had my stash, I'm pretty sure it was a Tuesday Morning purchase a long time ago. (Isn't it nice to use older stuff up?) The Happy Birthday sentiment came from two different stamp sets from The Stamps of Life.

I hope you'll join us for this sketch challenge! All of the challenge details and design team inspiration can be found on the Sunday Stamps blog.

Sunday Stamps Challenge 289

It is Sunday and time for a new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The colors for this challenge make me look forward to fall!  I had these mushroom stamps in "next up" bin for too long so I was glad to finally be able to use them.  I always think paper piecing is going to be quicker than coloring but this card took two episodes of Survivor to put together 😂  This card is for my husband's birthday later this month and I'm debating what sentiment to stamp on the inside.  These are my choices, please leave a comment letting me know what sentiment you'd choose!

  • Wishing you Mush happiness
  • I have so "mush" love for you
  • You make me feel all mushy inside
  • You are a fungi

Please join us at Sunday Stamps for this fun challenge!  All of the details and design inspiration can be found on the blog.

Sunday Stamps #293

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The challenge this time around is a color challenge.  I like the blue mixed in with the more traditional fall colors. For this card, I pulled out one of my favorite fall stamps from Rabbit Hole Designs.  I just love this pumpkin and her crazy pumpkin hair and the "leave me alone" look on her face.  This is definitely me every Monday when my 6:00 am alarm starts screeching.

I hope you'll join in on the challenge at Sunday Stamps!  Challenge details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.  Hope to see you there!

Sunday Stamps #290

I love sketch challenges!  If I had to choose between all the options (color, theme, technique, etc.), I would always choose sketch.  And this week at Sunday Stamps, the sketch was perfect for producing a bunch of cards.  I ended up with 7 cards, although only six are pictured because one went directly to my mail box!  I used the July 2022 Crafty Courtyard Kit from Pink and Main.  These pandas are fun because they don't require a ton of coloring and the cards came together pretty quickly. I used the heart embossing folder, patterned paper, stamps and sequins from the kit. There are still several cute items in the kit that I haven't used but I definitely intend to!

For the inside sentiment, I used "sending bear hugs" on half of the cards and "you're pandastic" on the other half.  A strip of paper to bring some color inside and they are done.

And just for fun, I added the cute dabbing panda on the front corner of the envelope.

I'd love it if you'd join us for this sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!  All of the information and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.

Sunday Stamps #291

Happy Sunday!  We have a new challenge starting today at Sunday Stamps and I absolutely love the color palette for this challenge.  It is full of stunning fall colors and makes me think of pumpkin patches and changing leaves.

I decided to use the yellow, orange and red colors in the palette to make an ink blended background.  Have you ever had an ink pad that leaked?  It is the worst!  I had a huge mess all over my hands and desk.  I think I may have ink stained hands for the next week 😃 I used a matching green card stock for the card base and finished it off with little twine and orange jewels.

I'd love it if you'd join us for this challenge at Sunday Stamps.  All of the challenge details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.

Sunday Stamps # 287

Hello and Happy Sunday!  The challenge at Sunday Stamps this week is a color challenge.  I really like the colors that they chose!  I decided to keep it very simple with just some die cut pine trees, a small sentiment on a banner, a few sequins, and a little twine.

We'd love to have you join the challenge this week!  The challenge details and designer inspiration can be found on the Sunday Stamps blog.  Have a great week!

Sunday Stamps 299

It is time for a new color challenge over at Sunday Stamps!  I created an extra challenge for myself by deciding I was going to use whatever was in the unopened kit from Pink and Main that I had on my desk.  When I opened it, I was a little worried that I wasn't going to be able to make anything cute using the colors from the color challenge combined with the wintery stamp set in the kit.  I'm actually pleased with how it turned out though!  I used the mitten stamps and colored with markers that I mix and matched from all different brands to find the right colors. I did a very simple coloring job, no blending or shading. The embossing folder and snowflake die came in the kit, I used a circle die that I already had and it fit the snowflake perfectly.  Now I'm excited to go back and use this stamp set with the colors that were included in the kit!

I hope you'll join us at Sunday Stamps for this color challenge!  Details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.

Sunday Stamps Challenge #292

Happy Sunday!  It's time for another sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps and, of course, I had to incorporate some fall colors in my card.  Again.  And also a gnome.  Again.  😁 What can I say, I love fall and gnomes so I expect most of my cards for the next few months to include both of those!

I have a stack of these gnomes that I've been working on coloring in my free time for another project.  I hadn't planned on using them for a card but plans are always changing in my craft room! I needed a card to send to my best friend and I couldn't find the perfect one in my card stash.  So I looked through other projects and decided on using one of the gnomes I'd already colored.  The sketch for this challenge worked well with the card I had in mind!

I colored my gnome with Prismacolor pencils and added a little Wink of Stella for some sparkle on the green leaves, stems and grass.  I finished it up with a simple Happy Birthday sentiment and a few fall colored rhinestones.

I hope you'll join us for this sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!  All of the details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.

Graduation

Is anyone else completely wrapped up with all things relating to Senior year? We had two proms this weekend, track meet after track meet, and so very many end of the year events. These kids are exhausting me! I have two high school seniors and my fridge is currently covered with invitations to graduation parties. I need a supply of graduation cards for all of these seniors!  I wanted to make cards that were cute but also not too time consuming since I need a bunch.  I decided to use the color palette for this week's card making challenge at Sunday Stamps.  I knew I which stamps I wanted to use so once I figured out the colors and design, it was pretty quick to whip up 12 of these.

18th Birthday

18!  I'm not sure how my little baby is turning 18 next week but it is happening.  For her birthday, I used the sketch from this week's challenge at Sunday Stamps.  I didn't have a lot of time and I had an unopened card kit that had just been delivered sitting on my desk.  I decided I would use whatever was in it to make her card.  It was the June kit called "Happiest Wishes" from Simon Says Stamp and it was actually perfect for what I needed!
I'm also entering this in the current challenge at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.  I haven't entered their challenges before but I'll probably enter more often since I love coloring my images!  I prefer Prisma Color Pencils but for this, I used a mix of Spectrum Noir Tri-Blends and my very inexpensive Caliart alcohol markers.

# Stabby

This is my favorite stamp set!  I don't know why the #stabby sentiment just cracks me up.  The stamp set is called Caffeinated Narwhal by Rabbit Hole Designs and the paper is from a paper pack called Ocean Waves by Pink & Main.

I made this card to enter in this week's challenge SSC282 at Sunday Stamps.  My favorite challenges are always sketch challenges so this one was perfect!
