Sunday Stamps #290

I love sketch challenges!  If I had to choose between all the options (color, theme, technique, etc.), I would always choose sketch.  And this week at Sunday Stamps, the sketch was perfect for producing a bunch of cards.  I ended up with 7 cards, although only six are pictured because one went directly to my mail box!  I used the July 2022 Crafty Courtyard Kit from Pink and Main.  These pandas are fun because they don't require a ton of coloring and the cards came together pretty quickly. I used the heart embossing folder, patterned paper, stamps and sequins from the kit. There are still several cute items in the kit that I haven't used but I definitely intend to!

For the inside sentiment, I used "sending bear hugs" on half of the cards and "you're pandastic" on the other half.  A strip of paper to bring some color inside and they are done.

And just for fun, I added the cute dabbing panda on the front corner of the envelope.

I'd love it if you'd join us for this sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!  All of the information and design team inspiration can be found on the blog.

Sunday Stamps Challenge 289

It is Sunday and time for a new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The colors for this challenge make me look forward to fall!  I had these mushroom stamps in "next up" bin for too long so I was glad to finally be able to use them.  I always think paper piecing is going to be quicker than coloring but this card took two episodes of Survivor to put together 😂  This card is for my husband's birthday later this month and I'm debating what sentiment to stamp on the inside.  These are my choices, please leave a comment letting me know what sentiment you'd choose!

  • Wishing you Mush happiness
  • I have so "mush" love for you
  • You make me feel all mushy inside
  • You are a fungi

Please join us at Sunday Stamps for this fun challenge!  All of the details and design inspiration can be found on the blog.

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges #8

Happy August!  It is time for a new challenge at Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges and this month our theme is Summertime Buzz.  This month's challenge is sponsored by LeighSBDesigns Digi Stamps & SVG Cutz.  I choose the adorable bee digital stamp.  I think it is perfect for a summer card!  I debated on what size to make the image but after printing a few, I decided to make a bigger card than usual.  This one is 5x7.  I wanted the image to be big enough to really show the bees and their wings colored with Wink of Stella. That's the good thing about digital stamps, you can make the image whatever size you need! For this card, I pulled out my trusty Prismacolor pencils and some paper from my stash. Of course, I added the dew drops as embellishments because I love them on all cards with flowers!

I hope you'll join the challenge this month at Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges!  All of the challenge details and design team inspiration can be found on the blog so please stop by and say hi!

Get Creative Challenges #114

For a lot of us, August marks the beginning of the school year and the end of a much too short summer.  I'm not excited about school starting but this summer has been really busy and I am looking forward to slowing down and spending time in my craft room this fall.  This month at Get Creative Challenges our monthly theme is "Back to School".  I want to send a few teachers a coffee gift card so I wanted to design something that would be cute for teachers of all subjects and ages.  I have two high schoolers and a middle schooler and with them each having 6 teachers, there is no way I can make 18 of these.  But maybe I can make 6 and the kids can each pick two teachers.  I found this cute gnome digital stamp on Etsy from a shop called Chonnieartwork and colored him with my Prismacolor pencils.  I just typed and printed the sentiment from my computer since I didn't have a stamp that matched what I needed.

I'd love it if you'd join us in the challenge at Get Creative Challenges this month!  All of the details and challenge details, along with design team inspiration, can be found on the blog.
Happy August and Happy Crafting!
