Happy October!
I'm excited to be back as a guest designer for this month's challenge at Once Upon a Time Challenge Blog! As I've said before, I love the idea of this challenge and this book is certainly a classic! It was originally released in 1971 so I've been reading it my entire life and have read it to all of my kids. Here's my take on The Monster at the End of This Book by Jon Stone.
My inspiration for this card is definitely the blue monster (Grover) on the cover of the book. Right away, I knew which stamp set I was going to use.
The two monsters on the front of the card are on wobblers so they wobble and bobble around. This card is going to my little cousin who is turning the big 4 years old in a few months. I'm going to send it with the book because he's one of my favorite little monsters! Since I've already decided on a specific person that this card will go to, I filed it away in my special bin. This is where I keep all the cards that have a designated recipient. Sometimes I make a card for a certain person but need to wait for the occasion/birthday/season to come along. My special bin helps me remember and also keeps them from getting used by someone else. My family and friends know that they are welcome to take any cards from any other bin but they are not allowed to touch or look through my special cards box!
I hope you'll join in on the challenge at Once Upon a Time Challenge Blog this month. The challenge details and design team inspiration can be found at the blog. Happy Crafting!
